Job Description: Checkout Systems Engineer

Overview:

• Are you a highly skilled and motivated ATE Engineer / Checkout Systems Engineer / Testbench Design Engineer?

• You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and technicians to ensure the development of robotic, guidance, propulsion, and other satellite subsystems. 

• You will develop hardware and Interfaces for all of those subsystems and see them come alive both on and off the planet!

Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with Operational, Quality and Security standards.

• Interact with the multiple subsystem teams to gather embedded systems-related requirements and analyze them thoroughly.

• Understand the dependencies between multiple subsystems, design testing requirements and architect the Checkout System / Testbenches for unit testing and system integration functional checks

• Write ATE software to drive test equipment for automated testing, validation and verification.

• Design and develop hardware and software(embedded and scripting) for Intelligent Sub-system Emulation Cards based on STM32, TI-C2000 etc.

• Design Fully Closed Loop Testbenches for Satellite Sub-systems and the entire satellite as well (Hardware-ILs and Processor-ILs)

• Understand unit and system requirements and formulate Test Cases for Validation and Verification.

• Perform system checkout procedures, ensuring all components function correctly before deployment and suggest improvements in the same.

• Provide technical support, troubleshoot and resolve hardware/software issues that arise during integration and validation.

Must-Have Skills:

• A Minimum 4+ Years of Relevant Experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 2+ Years of Relevant Experience with Master’s Degree in the related engineering fields.

• Relevant experience in embedded systems and Real-Time checkout development.

• Familiarity with NI testing standards, Configurable DAQ systems / Checkout Systems such as PCI Express Cards/Racks, LXI systems, and USB Multi-I/O checkout systems.

• Familiarity with Hardware Architecture Development, Schematic Design and Calculations.

• Proficiency in Python, Embedded C or relevant scripting languages for checkout automation.

• Experience working with NI-VISA supported LXI-based DMMs, Oscilloscopes, Power Supplies, Function Generators.

• Experience working with ADCs, DACs, Switching Circuits, Analog Amplifiers and Filters, Microcontrollers.

• Experience in GUI development using MATLAB / LabView / Python or Ruby.

• Proficiency with communication protocols and physical layers such as SpaceWire, MIL-STD-1553, CAN, RS485, UART, SPI, I2C, Ethernet, CubeSpace, AX.25, etc.

• Experience with git version control.

• ‘Can do’ attitude to solve problems.

Good-to-Have Skills:

• Advanced Degree in Engineering or Science (masters).

• Understanding of computer networks (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, firewalls, etc.).

• Familiarity with Industry Standards for Aerospace / Automotive Electronics and Electrical Systems

• Proficiency with any of the professional CAD software such as Altium Designer.
